About National Chengchi University

National Chengchi University (NCCU) is one of the most prestigious universities in Taiwan. NCCU is well known for its concentration on the social sciences, law, commerce, communication, liberal arts and MBA programs. NCCU is listed as Asia’s Top 40 Universities in Social Sciences & Management (No. 2 in Taiwan) and in Arts & Humanities (No. 2 in Taiwan).  The NCCU represents the only Taiwanese Business School in the prestigious Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking, in 2011 the University was ranked as number 41.

The NCCU was established in 1927 in Nanking as a Party Affairs School of the Kuomintang. The Universities is moved together with the Kuomintang party to Taiwan and has close ties to the party for a long time. Currently no political involvement is requested. Duo to the political ties, the NCCU is known for their hugh number of notable alumni.

The main campus of the NCCU is located in the south of Taipei City at the base of Chi-nan Mountain.  The other two campuses are located in urban Taipei: the Public & Business Administration Education Center on Jing-hua Street and the Institute of International Relations on Wan-shou Road. With 15.167 students it is one of the biggest universities in Taiwan.
