Global Vision

Partnerships have been developed with universities around the world through which university-level and faculty and student exchanges are carried out. As of 2012, FCU has agreements with 187 partner universities from 30 countries (or regions) and five continents. Among them, 108 offer overseas study opportunities for FCU students. Student exchange agreements have been signed with 33 universities in China and 75 universities in other countries. FCU currently enrolls 1,400 international students.

To set up diverse mechanisms for cooperation in education, dual degree agreements have been signed with 15 universities in the US, the UK, Australia, Russia and China. FCU was the first university in Taiwan to set up a dual degree program with universities in China. In 2011, the Taiwan government opened up student enrollment to students from China and, in 2012, the FCU campus became home to the largest number of Chinese students in Taiwan.

Internationalization of the Learning Environment

FCU is continuously developing English-language degree programs such as the International Master of Business Administration (IMBA), Bachelor of International Business Administration (BIBA), Bachelor’s Program of International Electrical Engineering (BPIEE).

Geographical Advantages

A city where life is good and transportation is convenient

  • Taichung City is the cultural, trade, financial and commercial heart of central Taiwan. It boasts a mild climate, reasonable cost of living, good transportation and a high level of convenience.
  • Taichung is conveniently located at the geographic midpoint of the country. It only takes one hour to reach Taichung from Taipei or Kaohsiung.
  • Just outside the gates of FCU is the Feng Chia Commercial District and night market. This is currently Taiwan’s largest night market and, according to a poll taken by the Tourism Bureau of Taiwan, boasts the largest selection of great food.
